WOLVES MAKE SIGNING

Saville never managed to make a first team appearance for Chelsea as he instead was offloaded to Millwall and Brentford on loan deals but this time around the English midfielder penned a 3 years long permanent deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

During Saville’s loan time performing for Millwall, he could never really stand out but 1 year later when he joined Brentford on his 2nd loan deal it was a breakthrough season for the young midfielder as he played a huge role in Brentford’s season when they managed to earn a promotion spot to the Championship League as well as earning a man of the match performance along the way.

It was such a successful time for Saville that Brentford extended his loan deal for a significantly period longer. Even at his young age, Saville has already lifted titles as he was part of the squad which won the FA Youth Cup in 2009-10 for Chelsea.

PEARSON WILL KEEP PLAYERS

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has revealed that he wants to keep most of the players who has helped the club get back to the Premier league next season.

After securing automatic promotion to the top flight, it has been rumoured that Leicester may decide to change the squad extensively. The club will receive as much as £ 100 million for getting promoted and a sizeable portion of this is expected to be reinvested in the squad. Pearson, though, says that he wants to keep faith in the players who have been responsible for promotion. As a result, there will be only minimal changes at the club.

Getting promoted automatically gives Leicester the opportunity to start negotiating deals right away rather than wait for the transfer window to open. This will give them a significant advantage over the likes of QPR and Watford, who are favourites to get promoted through the play-offs. The play-off way of getting promoted is not decided until May. Pearson has revealed that the club will be offering contract extensions to up to 7 players. This is in addition to the new contracts for players who are about to leave the club.

This includes goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who has expressed his interest to sign a new contract.
“One of the important things was keeping the team together for this season, when we had gone close to promotion last time. I knew I wouldn’t be able to spend much but the important thing was keeping the players we had. What we have now at Leicester is a togetherness. And as a result of having a tight-knit unit, we have had a better chance of achieving our target. There is a real sense of unity here. SETTLING FOR A DRAW

After the match concluded, the manager of Leiscester City, Nigel Pearson had to be hospitalized. According to staff members of the club, he was suffering from sickness before the game and decided to get medical advice as a precautionary measure.

“Our thoughts are with him. He is very keen on returning but I don’t want to jump ahead of myself. As soon as we get the test results hopefully it put everyone’s minds at rest.” The assistant manager, Craig Shakespeare revealed.

“We look at it as another point closer to our target and that is how we reflected on it with our players’’.

“The lads are very easy to keep focused; they are a much focused bunch. We really concentrate on our own performance and make sure the players are only focused on the next game. Once we went 1-0 ahead, you have to give Blackburn some credit. They were at home and they put us under a lot of pressure at the start of the second half’’. Shakespeare added.

With less than 11 matches remaining until the end of the season, Leisceter City and Burnley are looking to be the more likely contenders on earning the top spot and promotion. The next remaining matches will be crucial on deciding which club will be crowned as the champions.
