Davies on defeat against Leeds United
Derby County defender Curtis Davies missed out on the defeat against Leeds United due to an injury that he picked during training. He said that it was a massive disappointment for him to miss such a game and he would have loved to be on the pitch to help the team in this difficult game.
He said that the players wanted to build on the positive result that they got in the match against Reading but unfortunately for them, this did not happen. He said that Leeds United has been impressive since the start of the league and that it was a tough game for them.
Curtis Davies believes that he will be missing out for two weeks and said that he wants to get back on the pitch as early as possible. He said that it is hard to watch a game as a spectator especially when your team is being beaten and being unable to help them.
Curtis Davies said that this can be a great season for“ Derby County as the manager has assembled a good squad of players.. He said that there is a good balance of experienced and young players and this can be helpful during the whole season.
He said that they have started the season well with a win against Reading and that they want to make sure that this continues. He said that the game against Leeds United was an accident and that they want to prove to their fans that they are improving as a team.
Curtis Davies said that he is presently undergoing treatment and expect to back in the team soon. He said that he will work hard in training so as to return to his full fitness and help the team win games.
