FEARLESS
Leicester City again played with a fearless approach last weekend against AFC Bournemouth and secured their 9th victory on the bounce.
With the three points that they got from that game, the Foxes have now made their position even stronger at the top of the Championship points table. They are 10 points ahead of Queens Park Rangers which is at the second position in the table.
The manager of the team, Nigel Pearson, is very happy with the attitude that his boys have been showing on the pitch since the last few weeks. He looked in a very fine mood while answering the questions of the journalists in the press conference at the end of that game against Bournemouth.
When asked about his thoughts on the overall performance of his team, he said, “It’s important to be ruthless and keep winning and I am glad that we have been doing exactly that.”
“Bournemouth played well too especially in the dying stages, but, we deserved the three points. Kevin’s (Kevin Phillips) contribution was fantastic for us yet again.”
“Kevin is a great asset not only on the pitch, but, off it as well. He brings so much into the mix.”
At this stage, the Premier League promotion seems to be certain for the Foxes unless they ruin all their hard work by playing really badly in their remaining matches.
Each team in the Championship has to play 16 more matches and there is no reason why things can’t turn around from here on for any team, but, the kind of football Leicester has played till now in the season, one would surely back them to make it to the top flight.
Leicester’s next Championship match is scheduled to take place this Saturday against Watford.
