Konchesky Believes
Paul Konchesky is positive that Leicester City would be targeting the Championship title apart from the automatic promotion which they are supposed to get by the end of the season.
Although the automatic promotion is the main thing which the club has in mind right now but he believes that the Championship title may not be far away if the team bucks up and plays well for the rest of the season. He is confident about the players who are there in the team right now and said that City would try their level best to go all the way and lift the Championship trophy.
It would be one of the most prestigious and memorable seasons in his entire career if anything of this sort happen. The 32 year old has not been able to win any silverware in his career at Leicester City and that is why he hopes that this year it is their opportunity to make it to the top.
Konchesky has played most of the games in the Barclays Premiere League and was also picked for the England national team. He has also appeared in the FA Cup final in 2006 with West Ham United and then with Fulham in 2010 for the UEFA Cup final.
Although Konchesky has not been on the winning side in both the occasions he hopes that there is still time to get a silverware in hand and he would feel complete when he retires. In a recent interview he said that although he has played against good teams he has not won any medal in his entire career and if Leicester City does manage to win in the end it would be his first. He is also excited about the automatic promotion and feels that it would be a huge boot not only for him but also for the club as they have been working hard throughout the year.
Konchesky joined Leicester City two and a half years ago from Liverpool and he admits that it was a good move for him and for his career.
