KONCHESKY IS A DOUBT
Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has revealed that defender Paul Konchesky is a major doubt for the weekend's match against Watford. Konchesky has been one of the consistent players for the team in their push for a promotion to the Premier league.
He is one of the few players in the squad who has experience of playing in the Premier league. He was recently taken off during the halftime of the 4-3 match against Fulham. Leicester were playing against the top division outfit in the Capital One Cup.
Despite their opposition being one division above them, Leicester managed to display their title credentials by managing a win in the match. However, they have paid a costly price for this victory since Konchesky may be out for the next couple of weeks.
Pearson confirmed to Unibet after the match that this looks like a hamstring injury, but it will be clear in the next couple of days the extent of the problem. If it is just a pull, then he should be in line for starting against Watford, but if it is a tear, then he would be ruled out for the next few weeks.
"It was a hamstring related problem but hopefully not a pull. We will have to wait and see how that settles down but at the moment it's a question mark as to whether he'll be available for the weekend but we will have to see how it goes over the next 24 hours or so," said Pearson.
Leicester are currently second in the table behind Burnley, but they are level on points with the table leaders. QPR are not too far behind them in the table.
The manager is also likely to be without Ritchie de Laet. "Ritchie is not going to be available for this weekend and probably not next week either," added Pearson.
