Konchesky & Other Leicester City Managers Show Respect For Khun Vichai
Many former Leicester managers Like Paul Konchesky were present to honor the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha although most of them were asked to leave the club by the chairman. This was the testament to what Khun Vichai actually was as described by the current Leicester City owner Claude Puel. Nigel Pearson, the promotion winning manager chose to work once again with Khun Vichai as OH Leuven manager, Claudio Ranieri, title-winning owner and Craig Shakespeare the quarterfinals leader of Champions League had worked under Khun Vichai in the past. In addition to these personalities, Sven Goran Eriksson also received an invite but he could not make it to the game due to personal reasons.
These members were joined by former owner Martin O’Neil and some of the renowned former players like Paul Konchesky, Robert Huth, and Esteban Cambiasso at King Power Stadium. The event was organized in the honor of the late chairman. The players took the pitch post the game was over to be with his sons Apichet and Aiyawatt to appreciate those who supported in the brief time in association with the club.
“Puel was happy to see so many former players who paid their respects and it clearly showed the emotions attached towards Khun Vichai.“It also showed what a great man the late chairman was said Puel. It’s needless to say that “he was a wonderful“ and generous person and was closely associated with his players and manager.
As far as Paul Konchesky is concerned, he was quite pleased to be there to show respect. The former England international did make 18 appearances at the beginning of the season. However did not get a place in the team. He did not lose hope and made best of attempts to show how good a player he was. He joined Leicester City on a permanent basis and made the Foxes achieve promotion of the Premier League.
