Konchesky will miss Leeds match
Paul Konchesky will be missing the Queens Park Rangers game against Leeds United because of injury. The player, who is currently on loan from Leicester City, has only recently recovered some kind of form and would have been keen to be a part of the team taking on his former club Leeds United.
Paul Konchesky has not experienced the best of seasons so far, with some Queens Park Rangers fans calling for the loan to be cancelled.
Indeed, he did perform poorly in some matches this season when he was caught short on a number of occasions, even giving away some goals quite cheaply.
But in recent times, he has managed to get back to his best level and should have been handy in the game against Leeds United. It seems more likely that we'll see him return first as a pundit - he regularly blogs Rugby League betting advice on StanJames - rather than out on the pitch.
Given the absence of Konchesky, Queens Park Rangers will have to stick with Clint Hill in defense despite the latter having not still recovered from a hamstring injury. Grant Hall is also expected to be back in the side after having recovered from an injury.
Hoilett, Sebastian Polter, and Massimo Luongo should be the other players that could get back into the Queens Park Rangers side after having been on the bench in the previous games. The manager, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be hoping that these players will be able to inspire the team in the closing matches of the season.
Leeds on the other hand also have problems of their own with some players missing through injury while others through suspension - Silvestri will be serving a one-match suspension because of a red card on Saturday against Rotherham while Douka is suspended for eight matches for having bitten an opposing player.
These absences will definitely be a big blow to Leeds, who will be hoping to get a positive result against Queens Park Rangers.
