Now before a crucial clash between Leicester City FC and Liverpool in the English Premier League battle, it has become very tough for both the teams to form their first XI for the match. Where Leicester City is struggling to make their team due to the injury of their key players, at the same time, Liverpool is facing some different problems. Md. Salah is detected with COVID-19 infection just before the match.
Paul Konchesky has candidly admitted to having faced an unpleasant time in Liverpool. The former English left-back who moved to Anfield in 2010 is today bitter recalling his short stint with the current Premiership winner ten years back.
The season of 2010-2011 was a massive hit among the football fans and supporters and they will always remember it to be one of the best Premier League seasons with some of the finest footballers writing their names in the wall of fame. Let’s look back at the contribution of Paul Konchesky as a great footballer who made it to the headlines back in that season.
Premier League defender Patrick van Aanholt has revealed influences in his career whilst he was at
Sunderland. He said he was honoured to feature alongside former Three Lions star Jermain Defoe. Both
stars featured for the Black Cats, helping them avoid relegation twice.
Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has allegedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Atletico Madrid. The Spanish giants have struggled for goals this season. They have scored 31 goals this season, the lowest among the top six. To look at their goal tally from a larger perspective, the sixth placed club are 11th on the goal scored log.
Premier League side Leicester City is keen on a move for Arsenal man Kieran Tierney, according to reports. Coach Brendan Rodgers used to manage the Scot at Celticand wants to be reunited with the player this summer.
With Ben Chilwell a target for Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, Leicester is hoping to get Tierney to take his spot. The player was trained in Celtic, coming from their youth system and going on to make over 100 league appearances for the side.
The Gunners will be hesitant to lose him after convincing him to join them last summer and paying 25 million pounds. The player’s debut season has been injury ravaged so upon recovery the Foxes could push for a loan deal for the player with barely 5 appearances for Arsenal so far.
When Andy Robertson moved to Liverpool from an unknown lower tier English club, many could have bet he would be as fringe as Paul Konchesky.
A couple of seasons down the line, the youngster has been, according to Premier League stats, the most prolific dribbler in the Championship and is now a couple of seasons away from being a leader at Anfield.
The Reds are yet to witness any defeat in the league this season. They have however been a little too caught, chasing games after conceding first. That has in more than one occasion, left their Invincible chase in jeopardy.
Robertson believes cutting down on such risky situations will go a long way in helping Jurgen Klopp’s men not capitulate and hand the trophy, currently within their grasp to Pep Guardiola’s boy or by extension, Leicester City.
Brendan Rodgers's effect at Leicester has been one of delight and excitement as the former Liverpool manager has turned the club to a formidable outfit. Famed for his attacking brand of football, it has been an excellent start to his time at the King Power stadium. His departure from Celtic was far from ideal but the comforts in Scotland never seemed like something that Rodgers relished. He had won everything at the club and completed an unprecedented unbeaten season with the club.
Leicester's previous coach Claude Puel was a good manager as he brought through the likes of Wilfred Ndidi and Maddison. His style of game was tepid and it was no surprise that Leicester fans began to demand for more from their team. His relationship with Jamie Vardy was also a key point as the much loved forward became tired of the defensive approach of the team.
