Leicester City have made a great start to the season and this is delighted defender Paul Konchesky, who has said that the incredible team spirit within the team is the reason for this start.
Konchesky has been at Leicester City for the last three years and he has never seen such a team spirit according to the defender. After playing 12 matches in the season, Leicester are just three points off the top of the table. So far, they have suffered just one defeat in the league in the match against Charlton.
Leicester City have begun the new Championship season in decent form after managing one victory and a draw from the opening two matches. The club are expected to challenge for promotion spots this time around after failing to reach the Premier league through the play-offs last season.
The club had a big match against Leeds United during the weekend. Leeds are also expected to be one of the promotion challengers this season. The two heavyweights from the Championship fought and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
Slots have always been one of the most popular forms of casino gaming. They are cheap to play and amongst the easiest types of casino games for non-regulars to grasp. This is perhaps one reason why so many of the sporting themed casino games, which are appearing at online casino sites, are slots. Whatever the reason they have certainly been a hit with both casino and sports betting fans. One of these games is the football themed slots game Soccer Safari, but does this put it in the back of the net, or the back row of the stand?
Leicester City should keep hold of manager Nigel Pearson because he is the best manager for the job according to the club's former striker, James Scowcroft. Pearson managed to get the club into the play-offs last season only for them to falter in the final stage.
They failed to make it into the play-offs final after a defeat in the semifinals. Despite this disappointment, Scowcroft has seen several positives from last season to convince him that Pearson is the best man for the job to guide the club back into the Premier league this season.
Leicester City will be starting the new season with the hope of making it into the Premier league through the automatic places itself. Scowcroft has praised the experience and consistency brought in by Pearson to the club. Due to the several years of experience he has of getting teams out of the Championship, Leicester City are in good hands according to Scowcroft. The club are expected to sell Jermaine Beckford, who has been a leading goal scorer in recent years, to Bolton Wanderers before the end of the week.
Transfer negotiations have been taking place between the two clubs for quite a while and they seem closer to striking a deal now more than ever before.
"He is experienced and he knows what it takes to get out of the division. Hopefully, they will stick with him and just find that consistency and stability, and eventually they will get there. I think they have to be up and around there. They have a board that have put a lot of money into the club and they want a return. I am not sure how they will adhere to Financial Fair Play, but they will adapt," said Scowcroft. He has also said that the team is just a couple of players away from winning the league.
The former Liverpool and Fulham defender Paul Konchesky recently suffered a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw with Leeds United.
This could prove to be a major problem for the Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson, who has said that he hopes that the injury is not as serious. The defender was taken off at half-time, but Pearson has said that it was a precautionary change.
Leicester City will be facing Sheffield United in the next league match, and Pearson has said that he hopes Konchesky is fit for this encounter. The club's promotion challenge has taken a hit in recent weeks, as they have managed just one win in the last five.
They are currently occupying the fifth place in the Championship, which will offer the ability to play in the play-offs. However, the form of the teams below them like Nottingham Forest and Bolton makes it extremely difficult for Leicester to keep the position if the form continuous to be poor.
The club has a serious lack of options in defence, which makes the injury to Konchesky extremely bad for the club. The 31-year-old defender has made 31 appearances in all competitions, while he has also contributed one goal as well. If Konchesky does not play in the match against Sheffield United, then the midfielder Lloyd Dyer is likely to be used in defence.
“His hamstring is tight and we will get it scanned. Hopefully we have caught it in time. He has been a very consistent player for us so, hopefully, it will not be too big a problem. But we have to wait to see the results of the scan. Things don’t always go the way you want them to but I’m pleased with the desire of the players to get something out of the game,” said Pearson.
The Leicester City defender Paul Konchesky has said that the last minute goal by Vardy in the match against Barnsley shows the team togetherness and spirit. Leicester City are one of the teams challenging for promotion spot this season.
They are currently on a play-off position in the fifth of the championship table. Their recent form has seen them slip from the top two positions, but the defender Paul Konchesky is still confident of qualifying to the Premier league automatically. He said after the match against Barnsley that the team spirit shown to equalise the match when everything seemed lost will certainly push them towards promotion.
The former Liverpool defender is one of the star names in the squad. His presence has helped Leicester City to find the challenge for a promotion spot. They were expected to be challenging for promotion a long time back, but the expensively assembled squad is right now capable of achieving promotion according to the former Fulham and Liverpool left back. Knockaert opened the scoring after just 9 min on the clock for Leicester City, but two goals by Barnsley players within a gap of more than 10 min meant that they were trailing going into the final few minutes of the encounter.
However, a goal from Vardy in the 90th minute helped Leicester City take a point from the match. "I think we've stuck together a lot more. When we do concede goals or start losing, we always think we've got a chance to get back into the game. That was proved against Barnsley. We had a lot of chances but it wasn't going in for us and we went to the 90th minute. If it takes that long to win games, or draw games, then we'll do it. You could see the team spirit we had," said Konchesky.
The Leicester City defender Paul Konchesky has said that his team will not have any hiccups over the course of the season after surprisingly leading the table this season.
Leicester City were expected to be one of the challengers for the promotion spots, but none would have expected them to be top of the table just a few weeks before Christmas. This has led to many speculating that Leicester City will choke over the course of the next few weeks. It also was followed by the defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace during the weekend. As a result, Leicester City slipped down from the top position.
Leicester City had a 100% record at home this season, but it came to an end following the win for Crystal Palace. After the match, the 31-year-old former England defender said that the team will be looking to bounce back as soon as possible. He has acknowledged that losing games happens in football, but it is extremely important to come back from the loss stronger. He has said that going through the entire season without losing matches is not possible. He feels that the confidence is high within the team to be able to bounce back quickly.
“We’re looking to bounce back as soon as possible. Losing games is part of football but we have got a strong bunch of characters here and we all stick together. You can’t go through the season not losing games — we just need to get back to winning ways again. The confidence is high anyway and we’re good enough to keep winning games. So we’ve got to put that behind us and go again,” said Paul Konchesky. The former Liverpool defender has been one of the first-team regulars for the team since his move to the Championship club.
Leicester City has been defeated by Burton Albion in a Capital One Cup match at King Power Stadium. Burton won that match by a profound margin of 4-2 and cruised into the third round of the tournament. On the other hand, Leicester has been knocked out of the tournament with this defeat.
The Leicester fans had turned out in large numbers to support their team and they would have been terribly disappointed with Leicester’s defeat. The supporters were expecting Leicester to win the match quite comfortably, but, the Burton players stunned everyone with their performance. Burton had never reached the third round of the Capital One Cup in the past. So, this victory would have given the Burton fans a lot of joy.
The last few days have been pretty tough for the Leicester team. The team had lost two back-to-back games against Blackburn Rovers and Charlton Athletic before this game. The people were expecting Leicester to bounce back against a relatively weaker Burton side, but, that didn’t happen and Leicester’s poor run continued.
The Leicester team started the match pretty well and created some opportunities, but, the goalkeeper of Burton, Ross Atkins, made some brilliant saves and didn’t let Leicester take the lead. Burton managed to get ahead in the match in the 20th minute against the run of play. The Brewers earned a free kick and Chris Palmer didn’t miss the opportunity. He smashed a low, flat shot to beat the Leicester goalkeeper with ease.
There were no more goals scored in the first half. Cleveland Taylor doubled the lead of Burton at the beginning of the second half which made it very hard for Leicester to comeback in the match. Anthony Knockaert capitalized on a free kick to score the first goal for Leicester and it seemed that the match was going to be pretty close. But, the Burton team didn’t let Leicester score the leveller. Robbie Weir and Jacques Maghoma scored two more goals for the Brewers and the game went out of the reach of Leicester.
Marko Futacs scored the second goal for Leicester with a fantastic volley towards the end of the match, but, that was too little, too late. Leicester City will play its next match against Blackpool.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has said that he will not allow the players to drop their heads after making a poor start to the new Championship season. Leicester City were expected to challenge for a promotion spot, but since the opening day win over Peterborough United, they have suffered three defeats on the bounce.
As a result, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of the manager Nigel Pearson. However, he has called for patience from the club because he is confident that the results will improve in the upcoming matches. Leicester City started the new season in the best possible manner following a 2-0 win over Peterborough United.
However, they have followed the match with defeats at the hands of Charlton athletic, Blackburn Rovers and most recently, against Burton Albion. It has been claimed an acceptable by the fans, who have demanded the resignation of the manager after just four matches in the season. Even though Leicester City have been playing extremely well, they have been unable to get the results. It has been pointed out by the manager Nigel Pearson. He has said that Leicester City dominated the match against Blackburn and created a lot of chances, but were unlucky to lose the match.
“Key decisions didn’t go our way. For the first goal they had a player stood in front of (goalkeeper) Kasper (Schmeichel) in an off-side position so he is unsighted, they got that one, and Vardy was on-side for his second goal. It is frustrating. If we get our performances right we will win games, and we have to make sure we don’t get downhearted by two results this week when, all in all, we haven’t got what we deserved from the games," said the Leicester City manager after the Blackburn match.
QPR manager Mark Hughes is looking at the possibility of bringing former Liverpool and Fulham defender Paul Konchesky to Loftus Road.
Ironically, Mark Hughes sold Paul Konchesky to Liverpool back in 2010, although it could be largely due to the presence of former Fulham manager Roy Hodgson at the Anfield club. Nevertheless, the move did not work well for the former West Ham defender and he was loaned out to Leicester City.
The longer was recently made permanent and it looked likely to be the end of Konchesky in the Premier league. However, QPR are looking at strengthening their defence and have identified Paul Konchesky as a major transfer target.
Paul Konchesky has great experience of playing in the Premier league for many seasons. He is expected to be competing for the left back position alongside Manchester United left back Fabio Da Silva, who was recently signed by the club on a season long loan deal. The 31-year-old is expected to cost only around £ 1 million from Leicester City.
QPR have been making a lot of noise about challenging for a European spot and the signing of Paul Konchesky will be extremely important towards achieving this dream. The club are expected to spend big in the transfer window due to the high ambitions of the new Malaysian owner Tony Fernandes.
QPR managed to survive in the Premier league by the skin of their teeth after the 3-2 defeat at the hands of Manchester city on the final day of last season. However, the rivals for the safety Bolton Wanderers managed to lose their match against Stoke city, which helped QPR stay up in the Premier league despite the defeat. Tony Fernandes said after the match that the club would have been in a difficult position had they been relegated.
