Origi Admits Numerous Offers Have Been Made
Divock Origi, the youngster from LOSC Lille, has admitted that he’s been contacted by various clubs, but, he has clarified that no decision has been taken by him as yet.
Origi who is not even 20 at the moment has been impressive for the senior team of Lille in the last two years. He hasn’t had too many goals to show, but, he has been giving good support to the other players in the front line.
The youngster had also travelled to Brazil with his national side Belgium that made it to the Round of 8 in the World Cup.
Origi played all the games for Belgium in Brazil and he impressed there as well. He managed to score his first ever World Cup goal in the group match against Russia.
The club which is supposed to be close to reaching a transfer fee conclusion with Lille for Origi is Liverpool.
The Reds are in search of quality offensive players as they are on the verge of losing their superstar Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
According to the reports, Lille wants more than 10 million Pounds for Origi on which Liverpool would probably agree and the player would be at Anfield this summer.
Origi, however, clearly said in his interview yesterday that he was not sure where in Europe he would be playing next season.
The striker said, “A lot of offers I have got, but, I am yet to decide. I will need probably a couple of weeks to think about it.”
“As any other player, I also want to go to a club where I can develop quickly not only as footballer, but, as human being too.”
Origi has so far played 45 matches at Lille and has found the back of the net 7 times.
