Paul Konchesky currently on loan from Leicester City
Paul Konchesky is currently on loan to Queens Park Rangers from Premier League side, Leicester City. With his parent club competing for the title, Konchesky has found it hard to get regular playing time with Leicester and has been loan out to the Championship side.
However, things are not going too well for the former Tottenham and Liverpool man. A string of poor performance has caused his own fans to turn on him and calling for the manager to drop him for the future games. They blame the 34-year old defender for not being good enough and giving away a cheap penalty against MK Dons in the Championship.
Queens Park Rangers fans have called for the loan deal to be terminated at once and want the manager to replace Konchesky with one of their youngsters. They believe that the Leicester City man is a liability to the team and is preventing them from winning matches.
Before making the move to Leicester City, Paul Konchesky has played in different Premier League clubs. He was on loan to Tottenham Hotspurs during the 2003-2004 season where he managed to make 15appearances for the London team and then went on successively to Charlton, West Ham and Fulham. In 2010-2011, he signed a deal with Liverpool where he made 18 appearances for the Merseyside team before leaving to Nottingham Forest on a loan deal.
Ever since he has played in the Championship with Leicester City before they gained promotion in 2014. He made 29 appearances for Leicester in the Premier League last season before leaving for Queens Park Rangers on a loan deal.
With fans calling for him to be left out of the team, it appears that his days at Rangers might also be numbered and that he may be returning to Leicester shortly.
