Paul Konchesky happy with team's performance in Premier League
Leicester City had an excellent start to the life in the Premier League after managing to beat the likes of Manchester United earlier in the campaign. Defender Paul Konchesky says that the club is loving life back in the English top-flight.
Konchesky is no stranger to Premier League after having played in the top division with the likes of West Ham, Charlton Athletic, Fulham and Liverpool. He says that the win over United was especially good given that the club was facing a lot of pressure ahead of the match. Even though they conceded three goals, they were good enough to score five at the other end.
Their form has considerably dropped in the past few weeks. Leicester are aware that they cannot escape relegation fight this campaign as they remain in the relegation zone going into the crucial December fixture list. Manager Nigel Pearson will be concerned about his team’s defensive record and the ability to score goals. They will have to improve massively if they are to move away from the relegation spots. Meanwhile, the defender also said that manage Pearson was a tough man to start an argument against.
"I am enjoying every minute of it and it is good to be back. The (Manchester) United win was fantastic. It was horrible conceding three goals as a defender, but to score five was fantastic. When we scored one we knew if we kept attacking we could get a result. It proved we could,” said Konchesky about some of the famous wins for the club this season. He also spoke about Pearson in detail."He comes across as a hard man, and he can be.Don't get me wrong, he will tell you if things are out of place, but he is a big teddy bear really," said Konchesky.
