RUN CONTINUES
Leicester City have made a great start to the season and this is delighted defender Paul Konchesky, who has said that the incredible team spirit within the team is the reason for this start.
Konchesky has been at Leicester City for the last three years and he has never seen such a team spirit according to the defender. After playing 12 matches in the season, Leicester are just three points off the top of the table. So far, they have suffered just one defeat in the league in the match against Charlton.
They did not take long to recover from this defeat, as they have gone six matches undefeated in all competitions since the defeat. Unlike most of the clubs in the Championship, Leicester have made only very few activity in the transfer window. This actually has helped the club get more stability in the squad according to Konchesky. Prior to the start of the season, Leicester were one of the favourites to get promotion into the top flight. Now, this good start means that we will be looking to be in the automatic places by the end of the season.
Burnley are leading the table with 29 points followed by QPR on 27 points. Leicester are one point behind them in the table.
"Up until Doncaster, we had a good run. The team look like they are sticking together and there is a good work ethic. You can see it on and off the pitch that the team spirit is good. We are all in it together. That goes a long way to success. This is my third year and I would say this season is probably the best it has been. We will keep going and win lose or draw we stick together. Maybe the continuity has helped that," said Konchesky.
