HAMMERS, BILLERICAY TOWN CLASH IN PRE-SEASON
New West Ham United Women’s manager Paul Konchesky will take his team to Billericay Town for a pre-season fixture next month. The friendly game was confirmed last month with former Leicester City star Paul Konchesky going back to Billericay Town where his career as a professional footballer ended.

Paul Konchesky and his players will travel to take on FA Women's National League Division One South East champions Billericay Town in July as part of preparations for the new FAWSL (FA Womens Super League). The game has been fixed for Saturday, July 23 at 3pm.
Hammers boss Konchesky will return to Billericay Town where he ended his 23-year senior footballing career which took him to clubs such as North London side Tottenham Hotspur, Merseyside giants Liverpool and West London team Fulham. He also played for Leicester City, Charlton Athletic and West Ham United.
Paul Konchesky had two separate spells at Billericay Town in the space of three years. The first spell at the club was in 2017, while the second spell at the club was in 2020. In his first spell as a Billercay Town, Paul Konchesky was a regular as he won the Isthmian League title. His second spell at the club was a brief one in the Vanarama National League South two years ago as he combined his playing role with assistant manager duties.
Konchesky was the assistant manager in the Hammers team before he was promoted to the manager's role some weeks ago. He will take on Billercay Town in his debut managerial role at West Ham United. He will potentially face a stern test with his team against Billericay Town who won the FA Women's National League Division One South East in the latest league season by beating Hashtag United to the title by a solitary point. As a result, they will be in the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division in the new season.
